From November 27 to 30, 2025, the online 4-Day practicum “Parenting That Sustains…” took place with Svitlana Zaluzhna, founder of the NGO Open Nations and the family project Zorelovy.
Participants joined the event from 10 countries: Lithuania, Croatia, Canada, Turkey, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, and Ukraine.
Families from six cities in Lithuania took part:
Visaginas, Vilnius, Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Plungė, and Klaipėda.
Participants also joined from cities across Ukraine, including:
Kovel, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernivtsi, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Myrhorod, Eskhar, Dnipro, Berestyn, Zaporizhzhia, Kamianske, Deliatyn, Irpin, and other communities.
A space for conversations about parenting
Over four days, participants explored important questions about parenting together:
- how to maintain connection between generations
- how to talk with children about experience and the future
- why children within the same family may be raised differently
- how our words and attitudes shape children’s life values and orientation
- where to find balance between faith and fear
- how to trust ourselves and our children
- how to discover inner sources of calm and wisdom
Special attention was given to the theme of spiritual connection with children and the values we pass on to the next generation — love, faith, humanity, trust, and devotion.
From the author of the workshop
“I created this space with a simple intention — to pass forward the knowledge and meanings that once supported me, and later thousands of families through our programs. I wanted to help parents pause for a moment, listen to themselves and their children, and touch upon themes that are timeless: love, honesty, conscience, loyalty, and trust — giving both inspiration and inner support. Thank you to everyone who joined. Thank you for your questions, your letters, and for all the feedback that continues to arrive. I bow deeply to all parents — your heroism in everyday life, with tired eyes but a fire in your hearts, is the greatest force that sustains our world…”

Workshop program
The workshop consisted of four online meetings held on Zoom.
1. Our Children from the Future
The world is changing faster than we can get used to it.
How can we maintain a connection between generations and pass on experience while caring for our children’s future?
2. Roles in the Family: Why Children Are Raised Differently in the Same Family
Every child is unique. How do our roles, words, and attitudes influence children and shape their life orientation?
3. Faith and Fears: Where Parents Find Balance
Parenthood often exists between faith and fear.
Where can we find inner sources of calm, wisdom, and responsibility?
4. Spiritual Connection with Children: What We Leave as a Legacy
How can we build family relationships based on trust and devotion?
What is the most valuable legacy we can pass on to our children — our love, faith, and humanity?
Who the workshop was for
For Ukrainian parents, no matter where they currently live.
For those who feel the need for knowledge, depth, and reflection on parenting.
For those looking for support, understanding, and a community where it is possible to speak about what truly matters.
And for those who simply want to be present — to listen, feel, and find answers.
