We are pleased to announce the launch of a new project in Kaunas in collaboration with our partners.
The Lithuanian Red Cross (Lietuvos Raudonasis Kryžius / Lithuanian Red Cross), together with Menų agentūra Artscape, Foundation FRIDA, Refugee Council of Lithuania, Kaunas Centre for Educational Innovation, and Open Nations (Atviros Tautos), has started the implementation of the project “Sustainable Integration: A Comprehensive Service System to Empower Residents of Foreign Origin and Strengthen the Community in Kaunas.”
The project is supported by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
The aim of the project is to create a comprehensive support system for foreign residents living in Kaunas, promoting their social integration, emotional well-being, and economic independence.
Within the project framework, the following activities are planned:
- psychosocial assistance and mental health support;
- sociocultural orientation;
- digital, legal, and financial literacy training;
- national language courses;
- consultation, mediation, and information services;
- initiatives promoting volunteering;
- activities that strengthen connections between migrants and the local community — this component is coordinated by Open Nations.
