We are proud of our NGO’s achievements, which have been widely recognized among international organizations due to its implementation of human-centered and family-oriented approaches in creating programs to support Ukrainian refugee families.
One of the most important events was the spring visit 2024, when our team was honored to welcome Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. During the meeting, we presented our activities and shared the TULA (UA+LT) program’s successes in supporting and integrating Ukrainian families in Lithuania. The project leader, Svitlana Zaluzhna, said: “Our approach is based on humanity, inclusion, and sustainability. We work with real stories of people, feel the changes at the moment, and adapt to the new context. This is what makes our experience valuable to international partners and donors.”
The Crown Prince met with Ukrainian and Lithuanian families participating in the programs during the visit. This made it possible to demonstrate how the initiative helps Ukrainian refugees overcome war trauma and successfully integrate into Lithuanian society while preserving their cultural identity. An important part of the program is the exchange of traditions, language, and culture, strengthening social ties between Ukrainian refugees and the host community. This visit and the Crown Prince of Norway’s recognition emphasized the international importance of our work and our role in building sustainable communities.
